I’ve tried almost everything to lose weight. I’m desperate. I heard all the hype about Fat Loss 4 Idiots and so I decided to try it myself. I was a little worried before I looked it up on the computer. I figured it would be really expensive but it was actually really cheap. You even get access to what they call a “diet generator” that lets you plan out your whole menu. It makes it pretty easy to decide what you are going to eat that day. I really like the fact that you don’t have to count calories, just pick a certain food group. You have to use a little willpower here though because you’re supposed to eat only until you are satisfied. When there are no set rules, I tend to push the limit!

It was a little hard to get used to squeezing in another meal during the day since this diet requires you to eat 4 times a day. I found it was easiest to eat two lunches rather than try to put it between the three traditional meals. So I eat in the morning, at mid morning, mid afternoon and in the evening. I find it gives me the best energy.

Day two is a tough one, though. You get one sandwich that day and the rest of your food has to be fruit. The whole “calorie shifting” is supposed to be the reason you lose so much weight but it’s hard to eat so differently everyday. I’ve been eating a regular diet almost all my life and having to make such big changes has been a challenge for me.

Another thing that I have been having a hard time with is the sugar limit. I love chocolate! On this diet, I can’t eat it! But here is a good thing…..This diet is a 11 days on, 3 days off diet, so whatever I can’t eat on the 11 days of dieting, I can eat as much on the 3 days off as I want! In the first 11 days, you are supposed to be able to lose 9 lbs. I only lost 4, but that is okay for only 11 days of dieting, don’t you think? I’ll probably do a couple more sessions and see if I get the same results.

There were times that I had questions and wasn’t sure if I was doing things right which is where this diet fails. There is no support or phone number to call and talk to somebody who knows. Once you buy the book, you’re pretty much on your own.

The thing I liked most about this diet was the down to earth, realistic attitude of Tom Venuto. He doesn’t feed you any BS. He’s an athlete himself and this diet gives you energy to workout like crazy so that you can become an athlete like him. He stresses the importance of exercising cardio and strength. He even tells you how to do it which has really helped me notice a difference in the shape of my arms and legs. A little muscle goes a long way towards hotness!

One of the great things about this diet plan is that it treats you as an individual. The book is broken down into body types to target your specific needs. It’s good to know that someone realizes that I shouldn’t be on the same diet as everybody else. It makes me feel special! He goes into specific foods that help you boost your metabolism and burn fat. His program is supposed to make your body into a fat burning furnace and I’ve really been feeling energetic lately, so it must be true. I was almost bouncing off the wall the other day! I haven’t felt so young in a long, long time.

I’ve been on this diet for almost 2 months now and I have lost over 15 lbs. I feel great and look great too! The best thing about what Tom Venuto teaches you is that it’s not just a diet; it’s a lifestyle so if I continue to use these new things I’ve learned I will never gain back the weight that I lost. It took me a couple of days to finish the book but it was well worth it. The founder of this diet is Mike Geary. He unveiled my eyes from the many myths that have been instilled into my brain by the last two decades of wrong information. I now know the right way to eat and exercise that is easier for me to follow and is more effective in burning belly fat. The diet is focuses on natural foods or as close to the natural state of the source. So no processed, sugary, fried foods, which is the obvious thing in any diet but it goes beyond that.

I’ve been following this program for 2 weeks now and I already notice a difference in my abs, not just from the front but also from the sides. I’m slowly turning by tub of jelly into a beautiful toned slim tower. I will keep going at this diet for sure!

So I am dieting and exercising, both good for my health, but I’m not stressing out over either. My workouts are actually shorter than before because now I’m doing them the right way, through interval training. My diet is simple, eat naturally. So I eat a lot of fruits, vegetables, free range eggs and meat, and light grains and starches. I feel so much lighter and I don’t mean weight wise, even though I have lost weight. Turbulence Training……..that sounds scary! But the simplicity of this weight loss program is great! No more 45 minutes treadmill workouts for me! And the thing is, I feel stronger than I ever did! I mean, after two weeks of this program, I noticed myself feeling more agile than I ever did. I feel like a teenager!

So the intense exercises that I do are about 20-30 minutes a day. I don’t just sit there and run, I am moving! I’m doing things with my body and working muscles I didn’t even know I had! On the nutrition side, I learned a lot about how to eat and what types of food to choose. The writer of this nutrition book is Dr. Chris Moor. He is knowledgeable but I had to make my own meal plans. I hate making a meal plan. I don’t like to plan anything. So this kind of sucked, but besides that, the workouts were what really shined on this program. You never get bored because throughout the whole 8 weeks, there are so many new moves to learn and use that your mind is engaged and you don’t find yourself taking a mental trip and losing interest in your workout. I’ve been in so many fitness classes that make me start thinking. I think about my to-do list, my husband, my kids, and before I realize it, I’ve just about crawled my workout to a halt. When I workout, I want it to be a full mind-body experience. This program delivered!

When I bought it, (which I only paid 39.95!), I also got so many more bonus e-books that I have my reading cut out for me for a long time! As long as I stick with a good eating plan, this turbulence training should definitely help me with my weight loss goals! I am noticing a good bounce in my step and I love my workouts. Chances are, I will stick with this for a long time! Now all I have to do is find a good meal plan……ah…..geez!

I heard about this new diet that is supposed to raise your resting metabolic rate, in other words boost your metabolism to where you are burning fat all day long. It makes sense that this diet work but it seems a little too good to be true, if you know what I mean.

This new diet is called the Fat Burning Furnace. It’s more than just a diet, really. It’s a whole lifestyle program and being desperate to lose weight, I bought it. I opted for the more expensive $69.95 with videos rather than just the $39.95 text edition because I have a hard time with exercise moves sometimes and I wanted to get them right.

I was a little overwhelmed at first but the author gives you 3 months of email newsletters to keep you focused and up to date on the newest information. There is also a cool website that he gives you to get some good recipes that follow the guidelines he lays out on nutrition.

I was pretty soar the first few days and then my body started to get used to the exercises and I was feeling pretty good about myself. I was losing a little weight after the first week and wondering if this was going to keep going. Soon I noticed a big loss in weight and my jeans were getting bigger around the waist! Yeah!

I was losing weight steadily until the third week. It all came to a halt. I was doing everything that it asked me to and I still couldn’t get lower than this weight. I looked around for information and it turns out I hit a weight loss plateau. What was I told to do? Change my routine, shock the body. So I tried it, I took a break for a week. When I went back to the program, I started to lose weight again! Amazing!

So I guess in conclusion, this program does help you lose weight. BUT- it’s not the wonderful fix to everyone’s dream body. There are glitches to this program that you might have to look to outside help for, like my weight loss plateau. It incorporates smaller workouts, which I like, with sensible eating but it isn’t a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. It anyone that went from doing no dieting or exercising followed any program to lose weight, they would lose weight. I’m looking for a program that helps me change my weight permanently and easily.
